Embroidery vs. Screen Print vs. Sublimation: Choosing the Right Decoration

Embroidery vs. Screen Print vs. Sublimation: Choosing the Right Decoration

Choosing a decoration method is rarely about aesthetics alone — fabric type, order volume, and durability requirements all matter.

Embroidery

Best for polos, jackets, and caps. Embroidery holds up to repeated washing and projects a premium, corporate feel, but is less suited to large, highly detailed logos due to stitch density limits.

Screen Printing

The most cost-effective option at volume for T-shirts and hoodies, with vibrant color reproduction. Setup costs make it less economical below roughly 50 units per design.

Sublimation

Ideal for all-over prints and performance fabrics like jerseys and tech tees. The ink becomes part of the fiber, so there is no cracking or peeling over time — but it only works well on polyester-based materials.
